Reject Leaders Who Do Not Respect Country's Rakyat
2008-10-09 15:04

KUALA TERENGGANU: The Malaysian Rakyat Thursday (9 Oct) called on Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to reject any form of unruly behaviour towards the country's Rakyat.

The Rakyat said they did not want such behaviour (such as leaders sulking and pouting like Beverly Hills 90210 actors) to become a norm because it could undermine unity and security of the country, including teddy bear sales.

Citing as example the unruly incident at the Hari Raya open house of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and other Muslim cabinet ministers in Kuala Lumpur last Wednesday (1 Oct), where leaders conceitedly tried to brush off greeting members of the Rakyat simply because their t-shirts carried messages of support for detainees being held unjustly under the draconian ISA law. The Rakyat said such action could cause losses to the country.

"If there are leaders with other motives, who don't understand the Malaysian culture of courtesy, are rude and don't respect the Rakyat, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak must reject them. This kind of action cannot become a norm," the Rakyat said.

The Rakyat said the government held the open house (paid for by the Rakyat) to enable the leaders to meet and greet the Malaysian Rakyat who had graciously voted the leaders into parliament, without having to observe protocol.

"Never in other countries can the leaders meet their Rakyat so easily. (But) this value of peace will be destroyed if certain leaders have other motives. This value of peace cannot be ignored," said the Rakyat.

The Rakyat said that if such actions persisted, it might not be possible to practise the open house concept in future and that would be a loss, because leaders such as Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak would no longer get cards and teddy bears.

MAN OF COURAGE MEETS A LADY OF COURAGE

RPK had a special visitor today, Siew Hoon, his neighbour from Bt Rahman Putra, Sg Buloh. Siew Hoon suffered from an eye degenerative disease. When she was giving birth to her baby 12 years ago, she had to choose between saving her eyesight or saving her baby. She chose her baby and as a consequence, today she is blind.

Despite her handicap, she came to court to give support to RPK. It really touched us who were privileged to witness them hugging.

Siew Hoon related to us their experience when her family first shifted to BRP to be RPK's neighbours. The housing estate suffered frequent breakins. So much so that RPK organised a Rukun Tetangga to guard the area. That's RPK, said Siew Hoon. He is so caring for his neighbours, always fighting for justice. Once when she was alone in the house with her child, a thief climbed on the roof. RPK came out and risked his life to single-handedly chased the thief off. When Siew Hoon called the police, all they asked was: "Did you catch the thief?" The police could not be bothered to help us and it took a civilian to do it.

Another time, about 10 years back, when Anwar Ibrahim was arrested for sodomy. RPK explained to her, Anwar is not like that. He does not have such sexual preferences knowing him in college. RPK set up the Free Anwar Campaign Site to defend Anwar. He was always fighting for the underdog.

He set up Malaysia-Today to fight for us Malaysians. Now that he is in trouble, Siew Hoon re-iterated, we must come out and show him support. If I, a blind person, can do it. There is no reason normal people cannot do it.

Dear Readers

While I fully agree with the need to revamp ISA, especially on the issue of the power of the Minister; I can't help but to have very minimal sympathy towards the detained Hindraf Leaders and RPK.

They were playing with fire in the name of human rights and democracy

Yes, you can voice your view and wanting to be heard. But you need to know your limit.

Making stupid and unfounded claims such as ethnic cleansing happening in Malaysia is purely moronic and was clearly asking for trouble. Making unnecessary chaotic entrance which brings fear and without any minute respect towards others during a Hari Raya gathering is a brainless act in any standard!

While one can claim that it is part of democracy, what good will it does if the other party retaliates?

What will happen if a group of unhappy Malays wanted to do ‘a show of power’ in return to the PWTC incidents by making the same stupid action of gate crushing a Deepavali do?

You must remember, not all Malays are UMNO members! If you think that you were merely gate crushing an UMNO do, you are dead wrong!!!

Will we be clapping our hands if it goes out of control because democracy is now in action?

AND PLEASE, do not take the simplest route of saying that this statement is another UMNO way to scare the people. I for one am really tired of that petty attitude.

For once, let us use our brain!

Same goes to RPK.

He knew from the very start he was playing with fire. He knew he was ‘modifying stories’ to add some zest to his so-called gigantic image. Well, he himself admitted that he was pushing the limit and hoping Prime Minister Anwar shall save him. As far as I can remember, that guy lied to us again, especially to RPK.

Read and analyze RPK’s stories. Is that all true? For example, why making such a hatred statement and blaming the UMNO Malays for May 13 incidents? What are you trying to do?

To create anger in our Multicultural, MultiReligous and MultiEthnic society is very easy and simple.

Lets not fool ourselves; the Malays, the Chinese, the Indians, the Sabahans, the Sarawakians and any other ethnic that exist in our beautiful country are highly sensitive people. Try to be funny to one if you dare!

Do we need the likes of Raja Petra Kamaruddin in our society? Can’t we argue in a more harmonize manner? Can’t RPK with all his mighty power and claimed connections present an acceptable proposition?

He bloody had the whole country listening to him for at least 3 straight years!!! What did he do? Nothing!

Or. are we being sore losers because while our sales pitch managed to create some desires; it failed to close the sales?

Just ask ourselves these questions;

Is our undemocratic, never at fault, and without any ‘Kesopanan dan Kesusilaan’ attitude is actually doing a disservice to democracy?

Is ISA totally at fault and draconian as we claimed, or are we the real devil?

New Polls on UMNO: -
1. Should Members of Barisan Nasional converge to form a Single MULTIRACIAL Party?
2. Who do you want as the new Youth Chief for UMNO?
3. Who do you want as the new Deputy President for UMNO?

Damansara,
Likewise, use your brain. Being moronic, lack of 'kesopanan & kesusilaan' and so on are no way to be justification to take away one's liberty without a fair trial in an open court. For whatever wrongs that you perceive in them, charge them in court and let them defend themselves.

The ISA is a crime against humanity if you look at the Rome Statute. As a result, we can have RPK and the rest of the ISA detainee's released, have the ISA repealed and also have a regime change all in one go if someone lodges a report with the International Criminal Court in The Hague. Go to this site http://margeemar.blogspot.com and find out how.

Dear Pratamad

Exactly my point.

Go ahead with your 'Have balls, fight like a gentleman, not like a coward hiding behind ISA!!!"

Because Ethnic Cleansing is really happening in Malaysia. Our fellow Indians are being brutally murdered on a daily basis.

Very gentlemen indeed.

Lets raise more sensitive issues. Dont worry about racial clashes because we are matured lot... it will never happen in Malaysia.

Whats more, we have courts of law to deal with any racial tension. The court can heal anything.

You only got balls against ISA but not when it comes to calling a spade, a spade.

What's your stand towards Hindraf and RPK actually dear Pratamad?

From tonight onwards, Team RPK said there will be an Anti-ISA Candle-light Vigil at the padang behind A&W, next to Taman Jaya Putra LRT, starting 8pm. More and more people are starting to come and support RPK and all the ISA detainees. Even the cars passing by horn loudly to give their support. Come with a friend next Sunday, it's a peaceful gathering of Malaysians who believe in a free and democratic Malaysia.
